With the infrastructure already deployed in Bermuda, Brazil, Colombia, the United States and Venezuela, GlobeNet's latest expansion plan will attract more OTTs, and cloud provider and carrier customers will seek to increase their influence across the region."Our submarine cable program is designed to meet low latency and high capacity requirements and will be the first direct connection from Argentina to Brazil and the United States since 2001," said Eduardo Falzoni, CEO of GlobeNet. "As a result, Argentinian Internet users and businesses will be able to enjoy unmatched capabilities when transferring content, accessing cloud services and interconnecting with global data centers with new fiber optic cable systems."Since GlobeNet's flagship 23,500 km submarine cable system was founded, it has been committed to the expansion and continuous upgrade of its network infrastructure. The company recently announced the creation of a new four-tier data center in Barranquilla, Colombia, and a new central interconnect point (IPX) for the Brazilian Network Information Center (NIC.br) at the GlobeNet Internet exchange in Fortaleza, Brazil.
